This area has seen many changes throughout the years, starting as a ranching town around the turn of the century (1900), growing into the economic and social center of the area and finally finding its place as an agricultural community with a population of about 2,200.
Wellington is a typical small town located in the Panhandle of Texas. We have good schools, excellent medical facilities and services, an abundance of recreational opportunities and a bunch of great people.
